Precious Jesus

"Afresh, precious, precious Jesus, I resign this body to You, for doing or suffering, for living or dying. Will You accept it? Will You use me for Your glory more than heretofore, that You may have some little return for all the benefits You have done to me? Oh, do grant this request; my heart longs for it, my spirit pleads for it; and "if You will, You can." You know the hot temptation of which I am the subject. Bring Your glory out of it, and keep me from the evil, and it shall be well." - Ruth Bryan

The blindness of ministers

Those that listen to these 'blind ministers' are themselves blind and are happy to hear their god exalted, content with lies while they do not know they are being lied to. Isa. 6:9 & 10 is one of the most quoted verses from the OT; it's found in all four Gospel accounts, Acts and Romans and alluded to elsewhere as well. People are happy in their blindness and don't want anyone to rock their boat. They suppress the truth in their own unrighteousness; they hate that the Word is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of their own heart (Heb. 4:12) and seek to undermine it, destroy it, or render it useless by any means necessary. A special hatred is reserved for those who dare to point out their sins and the One who demands holiness (Heb. 12:14), humility and repentance toward their Creator. The 'ministers' that perpetuate the devil's lies will no doubt face a stricter, more intense eternal condemnation; the blood of untold numbers of men and women will be on their hands and they will be required to give an account for their words and actions, perhaps more so for the words they should have said but neglected.

Thank God for His intervention in the hearts and lives of all His elect!

Yep, there's a reason why these 'blind ministers' are so dearly loved and exalted, for they appeal to the flesh and leave the heart alone. They speak smooth things, promise peace when there is no peace, and their listeners love to have it so. You can remain in your sins, which they love, and make up your own brand of religion.
The fact is they will perish, they will soon be no more, forever separated from the God they never wanted or knew in the first place.
Praise God for electing, saving grace.
