Precious Jesus

"Afresh, precious, precious Jesus, I resign this body to You, for doing or suffering, for living or dying. Will You accept it? Will You use me for Your glory more than heretofore, that You may have some little return for all the benefits You have done to me? Oh, do grant this request; my heart longs for it, my spirit pleads for it; and "if You will, You can." You know the hot temptation of which I am the subject. Bring Your glory out of it, and keep me from the evil, and it shall be well." - Ruth Bryan

the spirit of compromise- *updated*

“I make no personal reference, but I see the spirit of compromise concerning holiness and sin, truth and error, far too prevalent. The spirit of compromise comes not of the Spirit of God, but of the spirit of the world. It is always wisest and best to exhibit clear decision upon fundamental points; we must draw the line distinctly, and then stand to it firmly. Do not alter your course because of winds and currents. Do not try to make things pleasant all round. Do not be like the fellow, in one of the American towns, who saw a traveller leaning against a lamp-post, weary and worn with his journey. The traveller enquired of him how far it was to such a place, and was told that it was ten miles. The weary traveller sighed, and said, “I shall never hold out. I shall faint on the road.” “Ah!” said his sympathizing informant, “I did not know you were quite so far gone, I will knock off three miles, and make it seven for you.” Of course, this operation in words did not alter the fact, nor really reduce the ten to seven. Yet this is the method of some weakly, amiable souls; they tone down truth, forgetting that their tone does not affect the fact.An All-Round Ministry: Addresses to Ministers and Students.” – C.H. Spurgeon from 'an all around ministry'

February 21, 2018
WASHINGTON—His Eminence, Cardinal Daniel N. DiNardo, Archbishop of Galveston-Houston and President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, has issued the following statement on receiving the news of the Rev. Billy Graham's death:

"Today, we pray for the soul of the Rev. Billy Graham to the Lord he so dearly loved and offer our condolences to his family. Billy Graham was a preacher of God's Word not only in his sermons, but also in the very life he lived. His faith and integrity invited countless thousands around the world into a closer relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thanks be to God for the ministry of Billy Graham."- source - http://www.usccb.org/news/2018/18-040.cfm

I  ask those who defend Graham this, why is it an Archbishop from a dead religion thinks Graham was a 'preacher of God's word'? Here's why, it's because Graham NEVER PREACHED the true Gospel of Christ.

I think 'compromise' is way exceeded in the 'church' today. Compromise has been bid farewell. Now it is full-blown worldliness, inclusiveness and adoption of secular ideas, with no regard for nor knowledge of the truth. Goat pens, not sheep herds. Every heresy there is, is accepted as 'new revelation' and a 'work of the Holy Spirit' passes for copying manifestations of false religions. I'm not the 'loving' type for I wrestle with wanting to see these people saved versus wanting to see them destroyed for their blasphemy of the gospel. Jesus and Paul spoke harshly of such religious leaders. There may be some to whom God will show His mercy, but according to scripture these false teachers were doomed to destruction long ago. Their status and lusts for money, fame and power have a stranglehold on their desires for this temporary life.

I just can't wait until Christ returns and then rules and reigns in righteousness with a rod of iron for 1,000 years! And us along with Him! I hope how soon it will be our turn! And I believe all these false teachers think because of their 'super-Christian' status and their many busy works of traversing the world and being on television, that they will have superior roles in the establishment of Christ's kingdom. They're unaware they won't even be present!
