Precious Jesus

"Afresh, precious, precious Jesus, I resign this body to You, for doing or suffering, for living or dying. Will You accept it? Will You use me for Your glory more than heretofore, that You may have some little return for all the benefits You have done to me? Oh, do grant this request; my heart longs for it, my spirit pleads for it; and "if You will, You can." You know the hot temptation of which I am the subject. Bring Your glory out of it, and keep me from the evil, and it shall be well." - Ruth Bryan

Steve Lawson the latest to defend Graham

The downgrade continues, Lawson is the latest to speak favorably of Graham - and the ecumenical, world loving 'church' grows...

This is from Denise at Surph's side ---
Steve Lawson, a professor of The Master's Seminary, head of One Passion Ministries, and roving elder, wrote a tribute to Billy Graham last week. I  chose some concerning excerpts and put his quotes below in italics and my response is in non-italics. My concerns and issues about Billy Graham I've dealt with here including his quotes of calling Rome's pope a born again Christian and evangelist and his inclusivism of those outside of Christ as if they are inside Christ.

I JUST noticed this that you posted and linked to. I don't know how I missed it!! I had listened to just barely a few of Steve Lawson's sermons - I particularly recall the one concerning the Great White Throne Judgment. But his credibility just went down the toilet - along with a few of his colleagues - for his accolades of Billy Graham. These men can't be that biblically ignorant or naïve. Or blame his words on senility. He has had a record for decades of compromise and unholy alliances. His words revealed the truth of what was in his heart. Did Steve forget that verse?! So there has to be an agenda afoot. It seems much safer to listen to the preachers from the 1700-1800's who boldly, uncompromisingly proclaimed the truth and have died, with no questions or scandals concerning them having come forth following their deaths. The church is so infiltrated with Satanists these days, most men are untrustworthy. Or just lame, shallow preachers afraid to speak the truth. Only God's "few" do.

Yes, I too watched that sermon, along with a few others. There simply is NO excuse for these 'men of God' to overlook the HUGE errors of a false teacher and speak so highly of them.

I agree, it's safer to read material from men of old than from any of today's crop of preachers. Even with that, you must be discerning.

Discernment is a God-given gift, exercised by His elect. We will accept NO counterfeit, no erroneous teachings/teachers! Persecution almost always comes from the 'religious folk' towards God's elect because we refuse to embrace their ecumenical, false ways.....so be it.
