Precious Jesus

"Afresh, precious, precious Jesus, I resign this body to You, for doing or suffering, for living or dying. Will You accept it? Will You use me for Your glory more than heretofore, that You may have some little return for all the benefits You have done to me? Oh, do grant this request; my heart longs for it, my spirit pleads for it; and "if You will, You can." You know the hot temptation of which I am the subject. Bring Your glory out of it, and keep me from the evil, and it shall be well." - Ruth Bryan

I suppose the basic tactics of the Jesuit/Arminian types have not changed much since their inception (I believe it all began with Cain). Question marks about the Word with the obligatory twisting, manipulation, and flat out lies are still employed because they work so well on the uninformed, willfully ignorant, itching ear crowd. As the Crusades swept the western world and the murder of millions (50,000,000+++) who refused to capitulate to the demands of Rome was accomplished, the opposition seemed to grow quiet. No doubt the popes thought they had achieved their goal of world domination. Enter Luther in 1517 and the battles rages to this day. The "angel of light" style deception has grown since then; the despicable treatment of Toplady by Wesley, though not so subtle, was cheered by many then and now as Wesley remains the untarnished king of Methodism. not so subtle to those who know better, but subtle enough for those who were and are easy prey.

Maybe I'm just waking up to the horrors of modern "Christendom" but it seems that the subtlety, the subterfuge, the intricacy of lies, the double talk, etc. has increased many fold in just the past few years. Many blogs have turned into spiritual massage parlors where anything goes as long as people's feelings aren't hurt and everyone gets along. Truth is inconsequential, unnecessary, and often unwanted and unwelcomed. Millions (billions?) of dollars have changed hands in the propagation of these lies from Jesuitville, most of which in the past few decades. The gullible paying their money to these hirelings who scratch their ears and assure them of their place in "heaven" because they "made a decision for Christ"; only the Spirit of God can break this death hold. It is interesting that the description of Babylon (Rev. 17 & 18) in it's last day tells of the things that will no longer be available to buy or sell; the last of which is the "bodies and souls of men." The Arminians have made merchandise of the bodies and souls of men from their beginning and continue to this day.

Lord help us to preach/teach the Gospel correctly and with power.

Excellent comment Darrel! Amen and Amen! Yes, I pray we will remain faithful, to the death if need be, and never ever embrace or make light of the horrors of this evil gospel. I pray daily for the pristine, unadulterated gospel to go forth, WITH POWER!
