Precious Jesus

"Afresh, precious, precious Jesus, I resign this body to You, for doing or suffering, for living or dying. Will You accept it? Will You use me for Your glory more than heretofore, that You may have some little return for all the benefits You have done to me? Oh, do grant this request; my heart longs for it, my spirit pleads for it; and "if You will, You can." You know the hot temptation of which I am the subject. Bring Your glory out of it, and keep me from the evil, and it shall be well." - Ruth Bryan

Today's version of unity begins and ends with man getting along with other men. It involves huge amounts of compromise in order to achieve even the most fragile notion of unity. "Losing face" is completely unacceptable. All displays of "humility" are of the false variety. Flattery abounds only in the effort to ensure that one's concept of unity is the end result of all the 'compromise' fronted for public display. It is a most disgusting exercise, especially when employed by the self proclaimed "righteous" against the Gospel. The Unity of the Spirit begins with the new birth, and only with the new birth. The "new creation in Christ" will find no end to this Unity; it includes being one with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Unity with fellow believers is brought about only by each being first Unified with God Himself. There is no need for compromise, as each believer has the Mind of Christ. Flattery is not only useless, but abhorred as well as a means of control, for there is only One in ultimate control. Humility---the genuine variety---remains a key factor in real Unity. It is first realized when one is born again and continues throughout eternity first toward God and then to others in the Body of Christ. Compromise on any portion of the Gospel is not compatible with Unity, with the Spirit or fellow believers. We are told to "endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit" because our flesh with it's ignorance of the Word and it's lust born from pride will seek to be seen as the "greatest" among the Body. An all too prevalent malady among the brethren today---God help us! Phil.2:1-4 is given to keep us 'in line' when we have delusions of grandeur. There can be no humility before God when such a thought is entertained and given quarter in our heart. Unity with each other is achieved when we are Unified with God and is an 'automatic' byproduct of our Unity with Him. Our rallying point is Christ Himself, something the lost world is incapable of understanding.

The secular world is promoting its own "unity" which is nothing more than the prelude to the coming globalism under the satanic leadership of the antichrist. Something struck me as I flipped the tv channel past the County Music Awards program the other night - Brad Paisley (I think that's who he was - don't keep up with them) was singing and was wearing a black tee shirt with the word "UNITY" printed largely across the front of it in white letters. Oh, how sweet - warm, fuzzy feelings - let's just all love each other and hold hands all across the globe. Such things in the secular world are intentional, sending a message to their mass audience that they are "brainwashing" into following. And follow their idols they will, right up to the point of taking the mark of the beast. This is the path they're marching toward and God will accommodate them by sending them a "strong delusion" to believe the lie and be condemned for they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. (2 Thessalonians 2:10-12) And right there, once again, is proof of God's sovereign election - they did not "receive" for God did not "give" them the love of the truth so that they might be saved.

The tragedy is most do NOT even know what the true Gospel is! "Christians" think telling others God loves them and has a wonderful plan for their lives is the gospel. This lop-sided 'god' is NOT the God of the bible, nor is that the gospel message.

As for Brad Paisley, he is a proud freemason - https://scottishrite.org/about/media-publications/journal/article/current-interest-country-star-brad-paisley-32-shines-the-light-in-st-louis-missouri/
