Precious Jesus

"Afresh, precious, precious Jesus, I resign this body to You, for doing or suffering, for living or dying. Will You accept it? Will You use me for Your glory more than heretofore, that You may have some little return for all the benefits You have done to me? Oh, do grant this request; my heart longs for it, my spirit pleads for it; and "if You will, You can." You know the hot temptation of which I am the subject. Bring Your glory out of it, and keep me from the evil, and it shall be well." - Ruth Bryan

The Pope of the SBC

Many of us already know this, but it's telling to hear it straight from the horse's mouth...

My husband wants to believe Billy Graham is saved. I’ve tried talking with him about it but he doesn’t want to believe it. We are “Calvinists” however he accepts the fact that there are those, like many who believe they can lose their salvation, who are simply mistaken in some areas but if the Lord has them He will correct them in His time. My dear husband sees no fruit in arguing about things such as this, but does agree that we are to be separate from the world. He also likes John MacArthur, and that MacArthur might have a couple of areas of difference and yet be saved, and that we are to leave him to the Lord to judge him. He believes if we harp too much on these things it only gives a bad witness to the unsaved who will feel justified in their contempt of us. He says we should bring people to a knowledge of the Lord and let Him work on us, to cleanse us from sin. He said the end time stuff, ecumenism etc, will happen regardless and we cannot turn that around, but the Lord can still use us to save some out of it but not if we are bickering and fighting amongst ourselves. I agree that through it all Jesus will and does save those He desires for Himself so I pray for His will to be done. I cannot change anyone else, but I can stand on the Rock of the Truth that does not shift and change and watch as these things happen, and pray for the Lords will to be done through it all.

Despite all the evidence from the very mouth of this heretic, people will invariably defend BG & company to the death; by doing so, they only expose themselves as imposters to the Faith. There was one such defender who, when presented with sufficient evidence to show this man for what he is, literally screamed in my face "I DON'T CARE"---he was an "elder" in the 'church' (not SBC)which I was a member of and shortly thereafter left.

Franklin's son---I forget his name---has assumed the family mantle and has been on the 'circuit' recently. BG is a 33* Mason (Schueller also). The funding for his early days came from the Rothchilds, the initial and continuing hype surrounding BG was orchestrated by their newspapers in the '40's & '50's until BG's lies took on a 'life' unto itself. The fate of such a man is aptly described in 2 Peter 2 and most of Jude. I cannot bring myself to pray for such a man as this in light of the above verses.

The grandson, Tullian tchividjian was caught in an immoral adulterous scandal, but has managed to worm his way back into a pulpit. Of course most do not see anything wrong with stepping back into the pulpit after two extra marital affairs. Is it any wonder America is seeped in sin? Her pulpits are, for the most part, filled with charlatans.

I've challenged a couple of Graham 'fan's at this thread - https://www.sermonaudio.com/new_details.asp?ID=48577 { I post as 'ladybug'} 'JohnUK from that thread, has accused me of being argumentative, attempting to teach, and other slanderous things, all because I confronted him over his statement saying he adheres to the doctrines of grace, yet he is a staunch defender and supporter of the Grahams. It's amazing how there is little to NO discernment among 'professing' Christians. The woman, 'Dolores', idolizes the Grahams, even when given direct quotes exposing them! Truly astounding.

I remember Tullian, but this is a 'new' one, Will try to locate the info.

His name is "Will Graham" grandson to BG & son of FG as per newswire 10-25-17

There are numerous disturbing issues concerning Billy Graham that go back decades. One of the most hideous to me is his ecumenical friendships with popes, joining hands with the devil. His very own words and associations reveal that he does not defend nor contend for the true gospel. There were preachers in his day who would not unite with him because of his affiliation with Roman Catholicism. In one of his books, he stated that when a couple of Presidents requested him to come pray at their inaugurations, he insisted that they also invite leaders from other religions to pray as well. It always bothered me when he appeared at Democratic Conventions to pray, as if to say he condoned liberal immoralities. The scene just stunk to me. He is a promoter of the "God loves you" lie. He sat with Joel Osteen and told him how he admired him and enjoyed his messages. Truly a lack of discernment if you can't distinguish the gospel from a motivational speech. He refuses to condemn or "judge" false religions. He answers questions with "I believe" rather than "the Bible says."

The Bible says that "a friend of the world is the enemy of God." (James 4:4) How many pictures are there of him with Presidents and other famous people playing golf, etc.? Not to mention popes, of course. If he were preaching sin and the wrath of God, they would not want to be seen with him.

The Bible says, "Woe to you, when all men shall speak well of you!" (Luke 6:26) How many secular people have you heard scoff at or condemn Billy Graham? He must be perceived as one of their own. They cannot view Christ in him or else they would reject him.

The Bible says that "you will be hated by all men for my name's sake." (Matthew 10:22) Billy Graham is welcomed by the secular world. If he were preaching the offense of the cross to them, he would be hated by them.

There are too many contradictory words and actions surrounding Billy Graham that expose his true heart and do not bear evidence as a true child of God. He fails the test when scrutinized against scripture. Yet he maintains his staunch defenders who have no interest in the truth. Perception is sufficient enough for them.

Excellent comments by all, discernment truly is a gift given to us by God. It comes through knowing His word and believing it, knowing it is sinful to add to or take from His word, and examining 'fruit'. Praise God for all that He does for His elect.

Great points made Sheryl, yes, Graham is wildly popular, and that does not raise a red flag for some. There are no words.

In spite of it all the Bible reminds us that God will use everything, good and bad, for good in the lives of those who TRULY love Him. There are many things that we don’t like to see happening all around us, but take courage in the fact that He will make it all lovely in His time. With men it is impossible but with God ALL THINGS are possible. If we believe in Him we won’t feel the need to keep railing against them.

Darrel, I'm interested in learning more about the information you noted above. I once saw BG's name listed on a sheet among those who are Freemasons, but - the internet being what it is - I wasn't sure I could be absolutely trust it. I recently read someone's article concerning BG's discrepancies with the faith, and he said he believed BG was a Freemason but couldn't find concrete evidence to prove it. And this is the first I've heard of his connection to the Rothchilds. Wow, his connections continue to deepen and worsen. I would be interested in reading more about it if you would be willing to direct me to the source, please. Thanks for your help!

Sheryl, I'll do my best to find the links, but it may take a day or so.

I would like to add one thing to my comment above that I failed to mention. In 1989, Billy Graham became the first clergyman to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It seems to me a true minister of the gospel would fiercely oppose being named among the carnal world of unbelieving entertainers. But Mr. Graham "accepted the honor." They must recognize something in BG that is similar to themselves in order to bestow one of their greatest recognitions upon him. Perhaps they are revealing to the world that he is "one of us" but Christians still claim him as their own. Its impossible to have one foot in the kingdom of darkness and one foot in the kingdom of light. The secular world seems to be more discerning that Christians.

This would make sense, however, if the Rothchilds were secretly behind him. But dark secrets get brought to light.

"The funding for his early days came from the Rothchilds."

A total error on my part, I apologize to all the readers here.

It was William Randolph Hearst who told his Los Angeles newspaper to "Puff Graham" for his upcoming 'tent meeting' in 1949. This was the beginning of BG's rise to fame.

The secrecy of the Masons precludes them from divulging their membership list, but ample evidence can be seen in a web search. A man by the name of Jim Shaw (I hope I remember right) claims to have been elevated to 33* in the same ceremony as BG, but was later saved out of the masonic lie and revealed this about BG. It's hard to wade through the cesspool of all the connections BG has to such men and not come to the conclusion that he is indeed a Mason himself. Three web sites that will help in this matter are:
http://www.dispatch.cth.com.au/Misc/Graham3.htm
http://watch-unto-prayer.org/default.html
http://www.rapidnet.com/~jbeard/bdm/

BG is found on a list of Masons from Louisiana.

A site search is necessary on the last two sites where there is a wealth of information on Graham and many other modern day heretics.

There is a series by Paul Elliot on how Billy and Franklin are leading sinners back to Rome, which we already know-http://www.teachingtheword.org/apps/articles/default.asp?articleid=59663&columnid=5787
That's part 3, I encourage the reading of all of this study.
