Precious Jesus

"Afresh, precious, precious Jesus, I resign this body to You, for doing or suffering, for living or dying. Will You accept it? Will You use me for Your glory more than heretofore, that You may have some little return for all the benefits You have done to me? Oh, do grant this request; my heart longs for it, my spirit pleads for it; and "if You will, You can." You know the hot temptation of which I am the subject. Bring Your glory out of it, and keep me from the evil, and it shall be well." - Ruth Bryan

The time has arrived

If you spend much time on 'Christian' websites, you know exactly what A.W. Pink is saying.
The accursed gospel of 'free will' is so embedded in the minds of many. Paul stated that God will turn them over to strong delusion that REFUSE to love the truth....this is what we are seeing, and why. With that said, how grateful are you that God has imparted His truth to you through the new birth, God the Spirit, via His word?!?

(Arthur Pink)

"In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of His appearing and His kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching earswant to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth, and turn aside to myths." 2 Timothy 4:1-4

That time has arrived! Church-goers today will not endure "sound doctrine." Those . . .
who preach the total depravity of man,
who insist upon the imperative necessity of the new birth,
who set forth the inflexible righteousness and holiness of God, and
who warn against the eternal and conscious torment awaiting every rejecter of Christ,
find it almost impossible to obtain a hearing! Such preachers are regarded as puritanic pessimists, and are not wanted.

In these degenerate times, the masses demand that which will soothe them in their sins--and amuse them while they journey down the Broad Road which leads to eternal destruction! The multitude is affected with "itching ears" which crave novelty and that which will amuse them.

Not only are many of our Seminaries cesspools of spiritual corruption,
not only are hundreds of our pulpits now filled by traitors to the cause they profess to champion,
not only is every cardinal doctrine of the faith attacked and denied by the very ones paid to defend them--
but the evil effects of such teaching from our religious leaders have influenced multitudes of souls committed to their care.

The man in the pew, following the lead of his teachers, has lost faith in the Bible as a Divine revelation, and in consequence, no longer submits to its authority.

The doctrines of grace are hated, as we have evidenced by foolish arguments of deceived minds. It seems to me that with the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation occurring next month, Satan has his minions vilifying it. What an indescribable blessing from God it is to have had this wisdom revealed to us. So be it if we're in the minority, the "few" and have to fight with the sword of the Spirit on this battleground, defending the doctrines of Christ. They have no power to inflict any wounds onto us. We are honored to be soldiers in His mighty army.

I also love how understanding this doctrine is the basis for digging deeper into the wisdom of God, for it begins to unveil harder truths that are unacceptable to man and pretenders. It is an amazing revelation of who God truly is. And I love Him for it.

My ears "itch" to hear this truth. I can't get enough of it. It satisfies my soul and brings peace, and I rest in what Christ has accomplished for me.

I long for Christ's return and for Him to rule and reign in righteousness. I am so weary of the sin, corruption, liars, false teachers/preachers, lawlessness, mockery, etc. It gets more unbearable by the day. I can't wait until it is all done away with.

Sheryl,

I second your comment. I am convinced that many have been turned over to strong delusion because they refuse to love the truth. They would rather twist that truth, mock it, and label it as something it isn't.
This will only intensify in the coming days/weeks/months ahead until Christ returns.

May God give us strength to stand fast until the end
