Precious Jesus

"Afresh, precious, precious Jesus, I resign this body to You, for doing or suffering, for living or dying. Will You accept it? Will You use me for Your glory more than heretofore, that You may have some little return for all the benefits You have done to me? Oh, do grant this request; my heart longs for it, my spirit pleads for it; and "if You will, You can." You know the hot temptation of which I am the subject. Bring Your glory out of it, and keep me from the evil, and it shall be well." - Ruth Bryan

Satan's workshop

Sheryl said...

Not only are we bombarded with "Satan's Workshop" through every aspect of secular society who consume the evil - of which would be expected - its even worse that his doctrines and servants have infiltrated the "church." And so-called Christians are blind to it, sit under the teachings and do not flee through the doors. Recently as a guest on the Jim Bakker show (that man is just stupidly repugnant to me), Paula White (Cain) said that it is illegal for God to act on the earth, needing people on the earth to pray to Him so that He could answer and intervene, so she said she prayed, (yelling) "God, you are in need of me." If that is not the height of ignorance, pride and arrogance...coming from a self-adoring woman "preacher" who took over the show and just wouldn't shut up, selling her new book. Then there's the wicked Kenneth Copeland who recently said that "God has never taken anybody" and "God is not in control" (and no one left the room!) while leading the audience in a prayer to bring a stop to Hurricane Irma! These people are blatantly false and obviously wrong - he failed to stop the storm - but nothing sways their supporters and partners from believing their lies. The only explanation is that they won't endure sound doctrine and are heaping unto themselves false teachers tickling their ears with lies and myths.

Oh for the day when we will no longer have to endure the anguish of hearing doctrines of demons spewing from the lying tongues of false teachers or society, when truth and peace will be our eternal state. Away with this nonsense! Come quickly, Lord Jesus!

Isn't it also disgusting how pastors will do sermons based on secular movies, not starting off with reading scripture but with showing a film clip?! How profane to attempt to mix the holy with the unholy, as if some ungodly film created by depraved minds used to entertain the masses had some intrinsic spiritual truth attached to it for Christian consumption! To find yourself in church where you expect to be taught God's word and temporarily escape the evil bombardment from the secular world, only to find it invading "holy ground" - brought there by the pastor! I just marvel at how such services - and worse - are so commonplace with no resistance from the congregations. I believe that less and less true Christians remain in such congregations, thereby allowing the "wolves and goats" to have free reign. I believe Jesus will bring His sheep out from among them, protected within His fold.

Christians need to be very discerning concerning what they choose as entertainment and also very discerning as to who they choose to listen to preach.

What you have described, Sheryl, IS the mainstream "church" of our day, 99.999% of them are steeped in this satanic garbage and carry on as if all is well with their soul when it is not. I will not darken their door, nor communicate with them except to expose the evil that comes out of their mouth on a regular basis. Most of the nationally famous hireling preachers have likely already committed blasphemy against the Holy Spirit and therefore will NEVER enter the kingdom of heaven. I do not say that lightly, or without a lot of research into the words of these men who teach the doctrines of demons and claim they have been lead thusly by the Holy Spirit. It's a dangerous game they play, for themselves and those who listen to them.

Concerning the video, what a shock that this was written over a hundred years ago but sounds like it came from one of the few faithful preachers remaining in our day. My first thought was that this 'stuff' is in the air we breath---Lord help us and keep us according to Your Word.

I cannot add anything to the comments posted, what horrific times we live in. I heard of a preacher that did a sermon on Hugh if this man deserves to have attention focused on his filth and God must take a back seat! We know this man is in hell, and God is just in all His doings. I've also read comments where some 'hoped he accepted Jesus before he died' as if you can live your whole life blatantly sinning against God and 'get right' with Him on your deathbed! The ignorance of people is astounding. Live like a devil, then right before death comes, just 'accept Jesus', as though salvation depended on the sinner. Come Lord Jesus!!
