Precious Jesus

"Afresh, precious, precious Jesus, I resign this body to You, for doing or suffering, for living or dying. Will You accept it? Will You use me for Your glory more than heretofore, that You may have some little return for all the benefits You have done to me? Oh, do grant this request; my heart longs for it, my spirit pleads for it; and "if You will, You can." You know the hot temptation of which I am the subject. Bring Your glory out of it, and keep me from the evil, and it shall be well." - Ruth Bryan

Another blasphemous Hollywood attack on God

This is an excellent post on the latest movie entitled 'Son of God'. It's brought to you by new -agers Roma Downey and Mark Burnett. Save your money and stay home!! Honestly, what more do we need apart from the Bible?

This is what happens when everyone that comes down the pike, says they are "Christian" (however that designation is arrived at) and therefore all is well. And yet when one does a little fruit inspection there is nothing found to even hint at genuine conversion. I heard a man last Sat. am say that he had "no conversion experience" and then proceeded to tell all the "wonderful things God had done in his 'ministry'". No one in the group of nearly thirty men challenged his authenticity or the veracity of his claim of being a "Christian." The term itself has become virtually meaningless with over lapping or contradictory definitions to the point of "anything goes."

And yet for all of this it is deemed "unloving" to not take one's word for it that they are "Christian." Every body is welcome, come join our "church" (social club) and be part of the brethren, sing with us to our god, clap your hands for are accepted just as you are, there is no need to purge your life of sin or to live a Puritan-type holy life on earth, your place is assured in heaven because you want it to be so.

Yes, it is that bad. This is the state of most if not all social club/churches today.
And in spite of this our Lord still saves those He has chosen for eternal life and thank God He does.

I think in terms of God's true church, we must be 'small minded'. We know what the bible says, "For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few." Matthew 7:14

The visible church is very large, all-inclusive and welcomes the unregenerate with open arms! All the more reason to avoid garbage like this film and most of what claims to be 'Christian' in our world.

To hear someone say they had no conversion experience and NOT be alarmed is very telling. With all that is unfolding in this dark world, it can only mean one thing...
