Precious Jesus

"Afresh, precious, precious Jesus, I resign this body to You, for doing or suffering, for living or dying. Will You accept it? Will You use me for Your glory more than heretofore, that You may have some little return for all the benefits You have done to me? Oh, do grant this request; my heart longs for it, my spirit pleads for it; and "if You will, You can." You know the hot temptation of which I am the subject. Bring Your glory out of it, and keep me from the evil, and it shall be well." - Ruth Bryan

sin's ruthlessness-J.R. Miller

One day when the tide was out, a man went out to gather sea plants
the rocks, and in stepping from ledge to ledge--his foot slipped
and became jammed in a crevice. He attempted to pull it out--but
not. He cried aloud, he shrieked, he prayed--but all in vain--no
heard him! So the tide came rolling in, and rose up higher and
until it rolled over him and drowned his last gurgling cry in its
remorseless waters.

In the same ruthless way--sin
clutches men! Even one sin, one secret sin, one evil habit--may
the soul that indulges it--until the floods of judgment come and
over it, engulfing it in eternal damnation!

that is a good analogy of sins snare of the human heart.
Thank you Lyn

Oh how serious sin is and we flirt with the snare and with the wounds and sieve with such hate as a result of sins fruit in our hearts from lusts that we thought would be our rescuer that eventually drown us. Oh, dear heart only Jesus is our Savior and Rescuer from the evil heart that ensnares man with all the lusts of these worldly passions. We only drown ourselves with sins evil snare and delude ourselves if we refuse to repent and trust in Jesus.

Don't let that lust, that lure, that SIN DECEIVE you and harden your heart.

The FEAR from the LORD is what made David shudder and cry out to the LORD for Mercy when he saw sins FULL effect in his own son Absalom's life---- "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom! If only I had died instead of you--O Absalom, my son, my son!

You know, it is a very fearful thing to watch God's word come true in a person's life that you love and that God will not be mocked-- you will reap what you sew"
The real SHOCK of Sin's snare is when you see yourself in another person--- that could have been YOU (IF)and only IF it were not for God's MERCY and you did not heed the Fear of God in your life and Repent. It is a cruel and painful thing to see people who refuse to turn away from their sins and to watch them be snared to their death.

Pray that God will have mercy and salvation will come to them-and the light of the Gospel shine in their hearts today the face of Christ
