I truly believe America is deluded, the 'gospel' given in most pulpits this past Sunday is not the Gospel we find in God's word. Messages preached are nothing more than motivational speeches, ear-tickling, feel good, do -it- yourself methods: words that do not prick the conscience; there is no power in the earthly man made gospel that permeates this land. As Paul Washer states in this twitter message, 'We may misunderstand many biblical truths without losing our souls. But to be wrong about the Gospel is to be wrong about everything!'
This nation is in dire need of intercessory prayer; may God shut the mouths of the deceivers and be merciful to the souls of men...

Wonderful sermon snippet from Alister Begg. I've always enjoyed listening to him.
He's so right about our godless society. Man is so wicked he cannot accept efficacious simple gospel of grace. Man just runs around just like Alister said, merely placating sin with band-aids with all these programs, with all these universities that appeal to intellect. Man is so prideful he cannot simply bow his knee and repent and surrender his life over to Christ. God is so so glorious that the ONLY WAY we could come to the father was for him to bow in submission to the Father's will. Thank you Lord Jesus.

well said sister. I recently ordered a couple of books by the late Dr. James Boice, "The Doctrines of Grace: Rediscovering the Evangelical Gospel" and "Whatever Happened to The Gospel of Grace?: Rediscovering the Doctrines That Shook the World"...
I cannot wait to receive them, I am convinced this is what is wrong with America, we have forgotten what grace truly means and how it is used by God in our complete salvation. The gospel of easy decisionism and other added man-made manipulative cutesy ideas has taken such deep root in our society that sinners no longer hear the true Gospel. That is why churches are filled with superficial goats who deem themselves saved because they followed the 'plan of salvation' laid out by some spineless gutless man-pleaser who could really care less about the soul he just deceived. We must cry out to God for the true Gospel to be proclaimed throughout this earth, and for the mouths of the deceivers to be shut.

The Gospel of Grace is just like the beginning of that song "On Christ the Solid Rock I stand"- My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness"---Gospel of grace!
