Great new look on your blog sis.

Yes, I've heard this sermon by Paul Washer and he says it like it is. I'm pretty fearful for people who think they are saved and they are not. There's no change in their life and no affections for God's word or as someone said no "holy affections" for the things of God.

Saying I'm sorry is not the same as Repenting neither. I think many people say the sinner's prayer because they've thought of some sins they've committed and felt bad about them or didn't want to go to hell. So they thought that was all they needed to do to be saved. It's not.

I like what A.W. Pink said-“ with many it is because they are willing for Christ to save them from hell, but are not willing for Him to save them from self."

So they are unconverted and returning like a dog to it's vomit or a sow to his slop.

I work with a manager who goes to church with his wife and baby. I've shared the gospel with him and even have mentioned from time to time when the right opportunity or subject comes up that people think they are saved just because they go to Church and they are not. Even the devil goes to church.

sometimes it looks like maybe his countenance has this concern but he never responds.

Anyways, I say all this because he continues to listen to the same music, wear the same shirts that support the same ungodly bands etc.
Yet they go to church? For what?

this one guy I work with comes in and has a Jesus chain on his necklace and calls himself a Christian and yet at the same time filth and cursing coming out of his mouth. It doesn't even comport.
Kids going to School claiming they are Christians and having book bags with skulls on the back.. that's a contradiction an oxymoron.

Now, I don't know people's hearts but Jesus did say we can know them by their fruit. that's not good fruit~~~
Lyn, May the Lord richly bless you especially this Thanksgiving

There is no preaching from the pulpit on repentance, true Godly sorrow, nor is there in depth preaching on being born again. Shallow Christianity is like a cancer in this nation. So many going around claiming Christ and living like devils...God have mercy on them and the preachers who pervert the truth and are nothing but men-pleasers.

Bless you dear sister, have a blessed thanksgiving day as we praise and rejoice over the greatest gift of all...life eternal.
