"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works so that no one may boast." - Ephesians 2:8,9

The Fear of God has been lost in the Church
This is a lengthier compilation of a much needed message for today...
Well, I haven't even listened to the video Lyn and isn't it so true. I honestly believe part of it is the internet that has allowed people to be REAL because after all we are behind a computer aren't we and I can just say whatever I want and not be held accountable to you.
Gee, I've had some unbelievers treat me better than believers because we all have one thing in common whether saved or unsaved and that is we are all human beings. Yes we need the Gospel--it's vital but doesn't it start with meeting each other with CARE? The Church is no exception. and when I say Church I don't mean a building I mean true genuine believers.
Lyn, I've been out of Church for approximately 10 years for various reasons and I have learned more from God's word and my walk with Christ than most who are going to a Church. I don't condone NOT going but just to say that I am astonished and horrified and the lack of love and compassion for each other and the lack of desire to Know God and His living word.
Thanks Lyn and may God truly bless you today in a mighty way with his face shining ever so brightly on you his grace
Linda, I agree, the church lacks desperately in the love and compassion field. I recently left a blog where I was a contributor because of rudeness towards some by other contributors. I do agree with this video, the church lacks proper reverence towards a holy God. I see this in my own church, drinks brought into the sanctuary, casual dress, etc. However, I will not forsake assembling with other believers, even though it is hard to find a true bible believing church. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I appreciate your insight.
Bless you sister, and pray for the body of Christ. We all desperately need prayer.
Sorry I don't mean to be any kind of "blog hog" and It would be nice to see others chime in on your blog> I pray they will
One more thing if you don't mind:
We have No fear because we think we don't NEED God. We think we have need for nothing. God desires us to need him just like we long to be needed. What's the point in investing our whole lives to the cause of Christ and not truly need Him. Unbelievers will know if we are genuine or not. They know who really cares and who just wants to win an argument or just play church. Besides what good is it to preach, teach, live good pious lives without love--we're just a clanging cymbal
Lyn, the other day I realized why GOD allows us to be so poor and lowly and among the oppressed-in our taking up the cross. It is the ONLY WAY to see our need for the Lord and His word and we learn from HIM(the lowly Jesus) HOW to treat all things and people in our lives as (a privilege) from God rather than (an obligation). His greatest works in his children will be internal not external in our lives
Great video. I believe I've seen it before but it's always worth watching again.

Btw, I know there are various other reasons. That just happened to be at the immediate forefront.
we are sadly the Church of Laodicea but that doesn't mean there are individuals who are
