There is perhaps nothing so powerful as a vision. When the heavens open and our eyes look upon fantastic things once hidden, it can alter the course of our lives:
In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. (Isaiah 6:1-5)

It's very sad that people are using their vain imaginations rather than doing what Jesus said.
Jesus said "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"-Mat.4:4
2 PETER 1:19 So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts
Jesus also said “Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth."
Can't sanctify a person through visions. Visions are not how we measure truth and it is certainly not final authority--God's word is final revelation-Hebrews 1:1-3..
And God's word clearly says 1Jo 4:1 "Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world."
Jer 23:1-6 "Thus says the LORD of hosts, "Do not listen to the words of the prophets who are prophesying to you. They are leading you into futility; They speak a vision of their own imagination, Not from the mouth of the LORD."
Ezekiel 13:2-2 "Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who are now prophesying. Say to those who prophesy out of their "own imagination": 'Hear the word of the LORD! 3 This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Woe to the foolish prophets who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing!"
the Lord Jesus Christ is our Supreme Authority, and we accept the Bible because it enshrines and embodies that authority. Take away Christ from the Bible, and there is no Bible left worth having and nor is Christ revealed.
The word of God is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path".
God's word comforts, gives us hope, peace and joy and we only learn of God's character and attributes in His Word.
I'm not sure I understand how people can place their confidence in subjective experiences that have no basis? When calamity comes visions can't do anything for you. When cancer strikes and you are dying you need the word of GOD you need OBJECTIVE TRUTH and not some subjective experience where you have no earthly idea if it is from Satan, a fallen angel or what>
